The living room has magnificent oak beams cut from trees found on the farm, and a long dining table carved from a huge oak tree by the owner, David Murray, a skilled carpenter and member of the Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen. (View David’s website at www.davidmurraydesigns.com ) At one end of the room is a kitchen equipped in traditional style with an Aga, a Dutch airer, and a stone sink, while squashy armchairs are arranged around a wood burning stove.

Two double bedrooms, and a third room with bunk beds, provide for up to 4 adults and 2 children. The rooms are simply furnished, and all have uninterrupted views over the valley. A quirky shower room has a stone trough as a shower tray.

Double doors from the living room open onto the sheltered terrace with far-reaching views over the countryside. The fully enclosed garden is private and secluded, and is a perfect escape from the pressures of modern life. Cattle often graze the field beyond the garden, and buzzards may be seen soaring over the valley.

In the lower meadow is a wonderful picnic and camping area, with hand-crafted wooden furniture, a shallow pond which is home to ducks and dragon flies - and even an earth closet or “long drop”! (See pictures on our Attractions page)
