Once you have settled into this secluded safe-haven all you will hear is the wind in the trees and the cows munching around the house.

In Painswick (1 mile) the churchyard features 99 curiously trimmed yew trees and the largest collection of fine table tombs in the country. Pubs, restaurants, and an award winning deli offer refreshment, and the Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen gallery (which includes some of David Murray’s wood craftsmanship) showcases some of the area’s talent.
